Today I am pausing on logistics-related themes. I want to dedicate this week's post to a different subject; something important for all of us as human beings, something that impacts our personal and professional lives.
I am talking about the feeling of being successful. That moment when we feel accomplished and proud of ourselves.
How can we get there?
People talk about "the secret ingredients" to be successful in life. Have you heard or read about this?
There is no mystery here... there is no magic involved. It will all depend on YOU, as an individual.
My list of ingredients for success in life consists of the following:
Believe in yourself
Treat others with respect and kindness
Choose your friends -or closed ones- wisely
Establish and measure realistic goals; adjust accordingly
Simplicity is the best choice, always
Act with honesty and consistency
Be flexible and allow yourself to adapt
Embrace new challenges
Always show up with your best attitude
Have initiative and be willing to go the extra mile
Learn new things
Maintain a positive mindset
I've updated my list a couple of times over the years... this one is the latest version {2020}.
Have you ever thought about making your own list of ingredients? Have you ever asked yourself, what do I need to be successful?
Think about it in the professional / business field.
Behind every business, there are people, who have their own expectations and ideas of success. If these people are not feeling successful, their production rate could be lower, impacting their work severely.
This is powerful stuff... It goes beyond us as individuals and it reaches aspects related to our development and growth as professionals.
I think everybody should have their own list of ingredients to success...
I encourage you to set your own bar!
Do this:
Before creating your list, I strongly suggest defining what "success" means to you. Be honest with yourself. That definition will be the foundation of your list.
No matter what happens, keep going on your path to success. Remember that some people will value "your ingredients" and others won't. Determination will be needed to help you focus on YOUR goal.
As you move towards your goal, identify the things that are no longer needed, and the things that are missing. Refresh your list.
In my opinion, whether it is for personal or business purposes, it is a great time to do -or to update- your list of ingredients for success.
Take care of that TODAY!
